A mid grey Turkish limestone with faint horizontal layering, so that laid in one direction the pavers read like the layers of a cliff face, and laid at random like a calm sea. Sandblasting takes the sheen off and leaves a fine, even grain the foot can hold. Wet, it darkens a shade; dry, it comes back to itself.
