Roma Silver Travertine is already underway at the door of this Toorak house: it walls the first living room, becomes a freestanding fireplace with the flame let into its face, then turns the corner and thickens into the kitchen’s monolithic island, its benchtops and floating shelves. Follow it further and both bathrooms arrive wrapped in the same level strata, vanities included, cut as thick slabs. The stone only lets go at the garden, past granite steps and a pond of pale green mosaic. Every slab of it came from Aboda.
