Highlawn House
Highlawn House, Airport West
NOT A SHARP CORNER IN THE HOUSE.

One decision repeats through this Airport West house: corners refuse to be sharp. Bianco Carrara C curves around the kitchen island in vertical staves, rounds the vanity tops in both bathrooms, and even the drawer fronts are cut from it, stone pulled open by hand. Above the hob, a shelf of the same marble carries lights in its underside. Roma Silver Travertine, the second stone Aboda sent here, runs the darker variation: a floating plinth and stone-faced joinery beneath the television, and a powder vanity with two basins hollowed from one slab.
