Mt Albert House, Box Hill
GREY DOES THE TALKING HERE.
This Box Hill kitchen is an argument about grey, conducted in one material. Aboda’s Super White, a dolomite of ultra-white ground and grey movement, supplies every register: paler where it falls full-length at the island’s end, deeper where it stands behind the cooktop, level where a single shelf of it crosses the wall. Black pushes back from below, fluted timber curving around the island base, cabinetry rising to the ceiling. Tundra Grey murmurs from the working benches beyond. Brass and alabaster hang overhead and refuse to take sides.
